Alex Tyson (b. 1985) is an American filmmaker and artist based in Los Angeles, CA. He works with non-linear editing programs, text and multi-channel sound. His first documentary, Mountain Fire Personnel (2015) screened at MoMA Doc Fortnight, Vdrome and Visions du Réel, winning the Prix du Jury La Mobilière. His past work includes creative production for HBO's How to Let Go of the World (2016) and the Oscar-Nominated documentary Gasland (2011), which earned him a Cinema Eye Honor. He has created exhibition media for The Whitney Museum of American Art, MoCA, The Hammer Museum, The Philadelphia Museum of Art and MoMA.
