THE SET

THE AMBOY CRATER is a goth outlier in the Mojave — a black cinder cone that last erupted 5,000 years ago, ringed by cooled lava fields and weird plants. The crater overlooks a Route 66 ghost town and a railroad, where shipping containers run horizon to horizon every 30 minutes.
